The Founders of Our Club
A group of young members in 1991 were on the lookout for an avenue to serve the community. They approached Rotary Club of Bombay Downtown and they together decided to form a new Club and Rtn. Bankimchandra Khona’s name to be the General Special Representative (GSR) of the new club was proposed to District Governor Nalkur Sippy Rao. The group of founders Ajay Gupta, Naresh Tejwani, Ashok Shah, Late Mukul Singhal, Bharat Doshi and Tushar Shah got their friends to start the club. They started meeting in the mezzanine floor of Purohit Hotel at Churchgate and within a short time got more friends to join.
