11th July - Yoga Sessions at Asha Sadan
On 11th July, the yoga session began with a few standing warm-up exercises to prepare and energize the body. We then practiced four rounds of Surya Namaskar, incorporating exciting variations such as plank, elbow plank, and pigeon pose to build strength, balance and flexibility.
Afterwards, the students transitioned into seated postures. Through an engaging storytelling approach, they were guided into Butterfly Pose, followed by Chakki Asana, Paschimottanasana, and a few arm-strengthening exercises. The session concluded with Padmasana and calming pranayama practices, including Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati, leaving the students relaxed, focused, and refreshed.
